My battle with juices

We all love juice. I’ve gone through phases in my life where I stop drinking juice because it’s so packed full of sugar and artificial flavorings that I don’t want it in my body.

But then I come back around. I can’t NOT drink fruity goodness that reminds me of Sunday mornings when my dad would cook breakfast for my family, and I’d always have juice. ALWAYS.

Flash forward to more recent times: One of my old roommates back in VA (Shout out to you, Danni) got me sucked back into the juice game when she moved in with me. At one point there were three gallon(ish) jugs of mango orange juice or pineapple orange juice in our refrigerator at once. (It was just so good we couldn’t help ourselves).

But then age crept in, and I started having issues after drinking OJ. Yep. the doctor told me that grossness I was experiencing was just acid reflux. You can imagine how devastating this was to me. I wasn’t even 30 years old! So I stopped drinking OJ again, because that’s the only thing that caused it.

I started drinking more cranberry juice, but everything was always so sweet that I just gave up all together and stuck to drinking water. Let me reiterate real quick: I’m not a sweet loving person. I’m not very fond of candy or dessert, because everything is so sugary and I can’t get past it no matter how good it tastes. (Ask anyone who’s tried to do things on my birthday for me; I always tell them no cake!!)

So juice isn’t really in my diet anymore. I liked juice because of it’s health benefits, and I honestly don’t eat enough fruit so it was an easier way to get that in my diet. But juices nowadays just aren’t my thing.

But wait! There’s hope for us struggling people out there. Healthier options that will get you the vitamins, minerals and everything else you need, but in a tasty, NON SUGARY way. And no acid reflux!

You want to know more. I know you do.

Here’s a link to a recent post I made on the Clean Eating webpage!

(Just a note, I didn’t write the piece, just uploaded it onto the website.)

While I’m not big on powders for drinks, these products are amazing (and only a few are actually powders). And delicious. Try them. Now.

And let me know what you think!

(Shout out to Evolution Fresh, my new favorite, and pictured on this post. They not only have fruit juices, but ones pack with veggies as well, and even a line that is mixed with tea! They’re delicious.)
