COLONIAL HEIGHTS — Preliminary plans for the construction of a freestanding emergency clinic from Southside Regional Medical Center have been approved by the Colonial Heights Planning Commission.
The clinic will be located on the corner of Charles H Dimmock Parkway and Jennick Drive in Colonial Heights.
According to Scott Davis with the planning commission, the owner of the land filed a preliminary subdivision plat to divide the land into two plots, one of which will be the location for the clinic. SRMC also filed a plan with the commission to build the clinic.
Both plans were approved by the planning commission at the Nov. 4 meeting.
The approval of the preliminary site plan for the clinic came with the stipulation that in the final plans for the clinic amended any issues with details of the plans. The final plans for the clinic must be submitted to the commission in exactly one year from the preliminary approval date and will include more details about the clinic and its construction.
