CHESTERFIELD — A former youth group leader at a Colonial Heights church faces more charges in a sex abuse scandal.

Jeffrey D. Clark has now been charged in three separate incidents involving inappropriate behavior with minors.

Jeffrey D. Clark, who was a leader at Immanuel Baptist Church in Colonial Heights, was arrested on Sept. 8 after police were notified that he had inappropriately touched a male juvenile on more than one occasion.

Clark was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery following the report of the incidents. Since his arrest, two other victims have come forward to report similar incidents with Clark, police said.

“After the first incident, we had two additional male victims that had contacted police and come forward,” said Sgt. Brad Conner with the Chesterfield Police Department.

Sgt. Conner said that with these two new victims, Clark is now also being charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a child while in a custodial role and one count of simple sexual assault.

Police are still investigating the incidents, and Clark is being held in the Chesterfield County Jail with no bond.
